Tex-Mex Macaroni and Cheese



"A quick and easy meal that tastes good and is a nice change from ordinary macaroni and cheese. Add cooked peas and grated Parmesan cheese on top if desired."
Original recipe yield: 6 servings.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
  • 1 (7.3 ounce) package white Cheddar macaroni and cheese mix

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In a large skillet, brown beef and drain off excess fat. Add taco seasoning and water according to seasoning package directions and simmer for 10 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. Set aside.
  2. Prepare macaroni and cheese according to package directions. Combine beef mixture and macaroni and cheese. Mix together and serve.
