Weenie Soup

"This recipe is very old. It is an unusual and delicious soup. Serve with a crusty sourdough or rolls. Low-fat hot dogs work fine in this recipe."

INGREDIENTS:
- 4 potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cups water
- 1 (26 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
- 8 frankfurters, sliced

DIRECTIONS:
- In a large saucepan over medium high heat, combine the potatoes, onion and water and boil for 15 minutes, or until tender.
- Add the tomato soup and the hot dogs and simmer for 10 minutes, or until the hot dogs are heated through.
