Layered Party Slaw



"This salad gets the party or picnic started, with layers of cabbage and cauliflower, combined with green peas, mushrooms, bacon and parmesan in a creamy dressing."
Original recipe yield: 12 - 15 servings.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 medium head Cabbage, shredded or chopped
  • 1/2 medium head Cauliflower, chopped
  • 8 slices Bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 cups Frozen Green Peas, thawed
  • 2 cups sliced Fresh Mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
  • 1 1/4 cups Marzetti® Slaw Dressing
  • 2 medium Tomatoes, cut into wedges

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In a large glass bowl, layer cabbage, cauliflower, four slices of bacon, peas, mushrooms and onions. Top with cheese, remaining bacon and dressing. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  2. Top with tomatoes before serving. Garnish with chopped Parsley or bacon if desired.
