Tuna Tacos

INGREDIENTS:

  • Salsa
  • 1 ripe avocado, diced
  • 3 small ripe plum tomatoes, diced and seeds removed
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pinch Morton® Nature's Seasons® Seasoning Blend

  • Tacos
  • 4 (6 ounce) fresh tuna steaks
  • 2 teaspoons Morton® Nature's Seasons® Seasoning Blend
  • 2 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 8 hard taco shells

DIRECTIONS:

  1. To prepare the salsa, combine avocado, tomatoes, cilantro, lime juice and olive oil. Season to taste with Morton® Nature's Seasons ® Seasoning Blend and set aside.
  2. Preheat grill to high (about 500 degrees F).
  3. Season tuna with Morton® Nature's Seasons® Seasoning Blend, gently pressing the spices into the fish to adhere.
  4. Grill tuna for 1 to 2 minutes per side, until just rare, or longer for desired doneness. Remove from grill, cool slightly and thinly slice.
  5. To assemble the taco place about 1/4 cup lettuce into the bottom of each taco shell. Top each taco with salsa and a few slices of grilled tuna.
  6. Serve immediately with a wedge of fresh lime.
