Grilled Tropicali Sandwich Recipe

Grilled Tropicali Sandwich INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 teaspoons light mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon-style mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon prepared horseradish
  • 2 slices Sara Lee® Heart Healthy Homestyle 100% Whole Wheat Bread
  • 15 leaves baby spinach
  • 2 slices Sara Lee® Hickory Smoked Ham
  • 4 teaspoons hickory smoke barbecue sauce, divided
  • 3 slices prepared roasted red pepper, each about 1 1/2-inches wide
  • 2 slices bacon
  • 2 slices Sara Lee® Oven Roasted Turkey
  • 1 slice Sara Lee® Provolone Cheese
  • 2 slices avocado
  • 2 slices mango
  • 1 teaspoon melted butter

Grilled Tropicali Sandwich DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat grill or grill pan.
  2. Combine mayonnaise, mustard, and horseradish in a small bowl. Spread mayonnaise mixture on each slice of bread.
  3. Place spinach leaves on one slice of bread. Top with ham, 2 teaspoons barbecue sauce, red pepper, bacon, turkey, remaining 2 teaspoons barbecue sauce, cheese, avocado, mango, and remaining bread slice. Brush top of bread with melted butter. Place buttered-side down on grill pan. Butter topside of bread and cook 2 to 3 minutes or until bread is toasted. Turn and cook 2 to 3 minutes longer or until warm and bread is toasted.
