Ham Loaf



"This recipe has been in my husband's family for years, gets made at nearly every get-together. Don't let the peanut butter throw you! It helps hold everything together. The glaze makes the recipe."

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 pound ground ham
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups whole wheat flake cereal
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 1/4 cup vinegar

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground ham, pork and beef. Mix in wheat cereal, eggs, peanut butter, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Shape into a loaf, and place in a roasting pan.
  3. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour. Baste frequently during cooking.
