"Dutch recipe for bread with cinnamon. You can take the crusts off, but you don't have to. Enjoy, or in Dutch: eet smakelijk!"

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 8 slices day-old bread
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In a large bowl, combine milk, egg, cinnamon and sugar. Soak bread in the egg mixture.
  2. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Cook until bread slices are golden brown on both sides. Sprinkle with brown sugar and serve hot.
